Welcome to the Official web site of the Court-Jesters

A) Fees - League fee per session is $20.00.   Group champions and Overall champions each Session do not pay a session fee on their next incoming session only, after being named a champion.

B) Membership - Members are composed of competitive and semi-competitive tennis players (open to men and women) with USTA Rankings of 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 & 5.0 between the ages of 18 and up.

C) Session Play - Our system is composed of two sessions per year (January to June and July to December).  This provides for 20 weeks per Session to complete the required matches and the remaining 6 weeks for playing out the end of Session tournament of champions which is also flex-schedule.

D) Session Groups - Members are put into groups of 4 players maximum each (depending on how many total members).  Once assigned to a group you must play each person in your group 3 times (or "rounds") for a total of 9 matches in Session, then if you qualify, you go on to the end of Session tourney to compete against the other Group winners in your NTRP.

E) Scoring - We play the best 2 out of three sets with 7 point tie breakers at 6-6 in any set.  No tie breakers allowed to decide a third set.  Must be played out.

F) Match Play Dates - As a flex-schedule league, matches are scheduled AT YOUR LEISURE with one main stipulation:

All matches (Rounds 1, 2 & 3) must be completed in the first 20 weeks of the Session you are in.  That leaves the last 6 weeks to complete the end-of-session mini-tournament.  We are all busy people and this system means that you have 20 weeks to play your 9 matches to complete Rounds 1, 2 and 3 in your Group.  Each time you play an opponent in your Group is a Round.  You play each person three Rounds.  Where you play and who you play in what order is totally up to you. 

G) Match Play Interuption - If you begin a match that is then interupted by weather, acts of God, or personal reasons, then one of two things happens:  1) You reschedule the rest of the match and pick up where you left off or, 2) if both players agree, you have the option of replaying the match in its entirety on another date.

H) Awards - At the end of each Session, the top two players of each Group then play a mini-tournament for the overall winner.  Award trophies will be given to:

1. Session Champion for each NTRP
2. Session Runner-up for each NTRP
3. Aces Leader for each NTRP

I) League Scoring & Rankings - TenniSoft 2.0 is our proprietary software that we created to track the scores and stats of the Court Jesters.

1. At Log in: See current win/loss rankings, games percentage and aces leaders. 
2. Report on: match scores by date, location, player, group, etc. 
3. Research on: players by surface, 1st or 2nd set win percentages, aces per match, wins versus other members, etc.

J) Match Entry Info - Upon the completion of the match, the winner of the match enters the match data into TenniSoft:

1. Group Number
2. Round #
3. Date of Match 
4. Player 1 Name 
5. Player 2 Name 
6. Winner
7. Set scores 
8. Number of Aces per player 
9. Location of Match (what court) 
10. Surface Type (clay, indoor or hard)

K) Forfeitures - If a match is ended because of injury or personal issues, then the person forfeiting grants a win to his/her opponent based on a system parameter in TenniSoft.  This parameter is a 7/5, 7/5 loss based on injury and a 6/0, 6/0 loss for personal issues or non-response to challeneges by your Group members.
